Our Opportunity

The QA Manager will ensure all the brand merchandise is of consistent quality, make, fit, presentation and labelling. You will strategically source and manage a factory base that meets their brand’s quality level, goals and a cost price structure across the apparel and accessories categories.

You will be working in partnership with their Buying and wider teams, all while building strong and strategic sourcing and supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Continuously reviewing the vendor/factory performance, identifying the needs of the business and sourcing factories to meet our business requirements.

· Identify supply chain partners that align with the quality and price requirements.

· Provide support to the Group Ethical Sourcing Manager to ensure all factories are audited and meet standards.

· Provide timely feedback to suppliers and ensure that quality processes meet standards.

· Manage the internal QA team to ensure factories are producing quality samples for fitting and quality product during production.

· Develop and manage the internal QA department and determine quality standards for merchandise.

· Educate all vendors in QA processes/sample production quality standards approach

· Manage the fabric and accessory testing procedure across the supplier base

· Provide input into the development of a QA process and manuals

To be successful in this role, you must have:

· Fashion/Design/Business Textile degree or equivalent (desirable not essential)

· Extensive experience in production, sourcing or Quality Assurance position

· Fashion and apparel industry experience specifically required for this QA Manager position

· Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in production, sourcing or Quality Assurance

· Extensive experience in factory sourcing negotiation

· Asia-Pacific region factory sourcing experience required for overseas manufacturing partnerships

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Leadership and people management experience

· Quality Assurance team management experience specifically required beyond general leadership skills

· Minimum of 3-5 years’ leadership and people management experience

· Negotgiating and influencing experience

· Financial and commercial acumen

· Understanding of management of product and sampling critical path

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain garment tech packs, specification sheets and BOMs
• Measure, review and assess garment samples
• Conduct fit sessions and provide detailed fit comments
• Ensure consistency of sizing, grading and fit standards across all categories
• Review and approve samples in conjunction with Design and Production teams
• Identify and resolve construction, fit and quality issues
• Organise and maintain sample libraries
• Coordinate product testing and compliance requirements
• Monitor critical path timelines to ensure on-time development

Supplier Communication

• Liaise daily with overseas manufacturers and suppliers
• Communicate technical comments clearly and professionally
• Follow up sample amendments and approvals
• Build strong supplier relationships to support quality and margin objectives
• Assist with sourcing suitable fabrics, trims and finishes

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who thrives on solving construction problems before they become production problems, and who takes real pride in getting the fit right.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with Design and Product Development to assess construction, fit and performance of new styles, creating and maintaining detailed Tech Packs (measurements, construction, fabrication, grading).
• Lead seasonal fit sessions and manage sample submissions, wear testing and re-fits to keep approvals on track with the critical path.
• Work directly with suppliers and factories on fit, construction, grading and quality, resolving issues before they reach the floor.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and a library of approved samples across every stage of development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our technical and production processes.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ experience in ladies apparel highly regarded; candidates with 3+ years and strong technical ability are also encouraged to apply.
• Solid garment construction knowledge across both woven and knitted fabrics.
• A sharp eye for detail and the organisation to anticipate problems before they arise, and the initiative to solve them.
• Clear, confident communication and strong interpersonal skills for working across design, suppliers and production.
• The ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing deadlines, and keep the critical path on track.
