Job Description

Position Description – Retail Manager Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and KPI results to achieve budgets and growth on last year
  • Customer service
  • Achieve maximum possible sales, manage store direct costs and contribute to company profit
  • Uphold the Company Values and Mission Statement
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store and staff to achieve maximum productivity
  • Ensure Policies and Procedures are followed
  • Time management to increase productivity and priorities tasks daily so they do not impact on sales or customer service
  • Effective leadership & leading by example, mediate any HR conflicts in their store
  • Coaching and training staff in all areas of daily store operations
  • Motivate staff
  • Conduct regular team meetings
  • Conduct performance reviews, performance conversations and performance action plans

  • UPT & $ sales
  • Customer tagging – where did the customer hear about us?

Retail Manager tasks include: CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Following selling guidelines
  • Productivity – serving multiple customers at one time
  • Fitting room service using salesmanship/suggesting add on sales to increase $ sale and upt’s
  • Complaints
  • Queries/Dealing with faulty goods
  • Orders (as per policy all orders for items requested for transfer must be pre-paid)
  • Pinning alterations
  • Maintain and grow customer database
  • Laybys
  • Product knowledge

 

GENERAL

 

  • Liaise with Management
  • General problem solving
  • Actively promote BTL as per guidelines
  • Keep key register in store diary updated
  • Action emails and requested reports
  • Attend all meetings/ call onto conference calls when required
  • Ensure all email communication/memo’s/diary etc are read, signed and understood by all staff
  • Follow OHS safe work practices – included but not limited to lifting, stretching, bending, ladder use, kneeling, steaming, standing for long periods.
  • Multi-tasking/productivity
  • Show proficiency in all IT programs and equipment in including but not limited to Harmony Winpos, email, website, Eftpos, printer and Australia post and train staff in these areas
  • All other reasonable requested duties

 

START & END OF DAY PROCEDURES

 

  • Store float check and bank record in store diary completed daily
  • Daily procedures – opening and closing
  • Balancing daily – banking & dealing with petty cash transactions
  • Ensure sales figures in diary are fully completed daily, weekly and monthly
  • Ensure store has been tidied and sized ready for next day’s trade

 

REPORTS

 

  • Managers’ report – To be submitted by due date
  • Order report – twice weekly
  • Layby report – weekly
  • Transfers – weekly
  • Team performance report – weekly
  • Discount report – weekly
  • EOM diary page- monthly
  • Roster reporting

 

TRAINING/COACHING

 

  • Managing/supervising staff
  • Train and coach staff to execute and follow the selling guidelines
  • Coaching/training staff in all areas of store operations (new & existing)
  • Completing staff winpos 4-week induction checklist on Diffuze
  • Training staff to adhere to all OHS and safe work practices and procedures
  • Probationary reviews (3, 6 & 12 month) and Annual staff reviews
  • Daily communication with team, verbally and including using the store diary for notes
  • Encouraging and driving staff to meet budget and growth on last year
  • Communicate daily with staff on store performance
  • Set team sales expectations/goals daily
  • Train staff to support and execute all VM direction for periods when Manager is absent
  • Train staff to on how to access and use Diffuze in store

Manger for Manuka ACT.

This is a PT role 10-4.30 Monday to Friday week 1 and Tuesday to Saturday (10-3) week 2.

63.5hrs per fortnight.

Salary $62 PRO RATA based on the 63.5 hrs. Approx $37/hour
