Job Description

Sportswear Product Developer Designer

Position Purpose:

To facilitate the development of our cut and sew garments from concept to creation.

Individual accountabilities

Sportswear Product Developer Design and spec creation for tech packs to assist the factory in the production of our garments.

Coordinate with our patternmakers to conduct thorough quality checks, encompassing the aspects of pattern, bulk grading and fit accuracy and ensuring all Ontrack quality standards are met.

Manage sampling of garments to ensure quality and design are as per our customers’ expectations. Ensure timely creation and delivery of samples.

Fabric performance testing.

Management of Lab dip and lab dip approvals.

Approval of shipping samples for bulk fabric.

Maintain open and clear communication with our Merchandisers to ensure requests are understood and timelines are being meet.

Report on works in progress and provide updates to key stakeholders. (Maintaining of WIP documents).

Develop new processes and data management methods.

Measures of success

Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met.

Always keeping the customer in mind.

Successfully delivery of projects outcomes.

Suppliers.

Production Team.

Customer Service Team.

New Business/Sales Team.

Skills and experience required

Previous Sportswear Product Developer Designer experience and a demonstrated background in textile design with specific in-depth knowledge of garment construction, fabrications, fit, shape, trims etc.

A strong sense of initiative with exceptional time management skills.

A thirst for high pressure situations with an ability to prioritise conflicting demands and adapt to meet regularly changing needs.

Salary $80K-$110K+super (neg).
