Job Description
Our client who manufactures Hospitality, Health, Work and Safety Wear is seeking a garment technician with exceptional organisational skills.
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENTÂ
- Prepare manufacturing pack for each new style, this to include:
- Creation of sizing specification, Â including grading and formatting
- Garment detail sheets
- Manufacturing requirements
- Sketching and illustration of style details
- Pass submission comments directly to supplier in a clear and precise manner. Include but not limited to:
- Fabric qualities, colours and testing requirements
- Initial sample, PP Sample comments
- Trims and accessories comments
- Bulk sample comments
- Co-Ordinate production processes and sampling requirements to meet deadlines
- Liaise with marketing department for arrangement of photo samples
PRODUCT SPEC AND DETAILS SHEET

- Update and maintain existing spec and details sheets, record any changed data
- Record and update company standards as changes occur
- Yearly catalogue proofing
- Maintain colour standard system

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Â
- Inspection of goods received in the warehouse against overseas QA reports, and manufacturing packs.
- Chase suppliers and record test reports
- Check measurements and general quality.
- Conduct in house testing
- Review customer returns of faulty stock and complaints

SKILLS:
- Maintain clean and neat filing system
- Able to work under deadline
- Clear and precise written communication
- Understanding of garment technology
- Have sound knowledge of fabrication
- The ability to problem solving and be able to offer solutions to vendors to assist the production process
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Illustrator
- Previous experience in a similar role dealing with offshore manufacturers
SALARY $65K-$70K+SUPER
hours 9-5
