Job Description

Purpose of the position: Reporting to the Production Manager, the role of the Production
Assistant is to ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently. They are an
important liaison between the production team, the production manager, wholesalers, makers, QC and despatch team.

Key responsibilities & duties:

ï‚· Assist Production Manager
ï‚· Assist with costing garments for local manufacturing
ï‚· Creating specs for local garment manufacturing
ï‚· Entering all garment information into Harmony
ï‚· Assist in negotiating with Local Makers
ï‚· Comment on pre-production and shipping samples
ï‚· Assist with purchasing trims & buttons for all local production
ï‚· Creating care instructions, & giving maker barcodes and swing tags for bulk production
ï‚· Ensuring makers have all labels, trims & templates for bulk Production
ï‚· Assist with tracking & updating local production schedules
ï‚· Attending production meetings
ï‚· Checking Local Pre-Production samples to specification sheets & garment construction
for approval to bulk
ï‚· Liaising with local makers to ensure production delivery dates are met
ï‚· QC checking bulk for D.C. warehouse
ï‚· Production sample maintenance
ï‚· Document fabrics and enter into Harmony and Swatch

 

Qualifications / Skills / Work experience required:

ï‚· Intermediate Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel & Outlook)
ï‚· Knowledge of Harmony or similar
ï‚· Thorough understanding of garment construction
ï‚· Knowledge of garment and accessory components and experience in sourcing and
purchasing
