Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Garment Technician to join our Product Development team. You’ll own sample review and fit approvals, safeguard accurate specs and sound construction, and resolve technical issues from proto through to shipment. Working closely with our Technical Product Developer, Quality Assurance Technician and Pattern Makers, you’ll add hands-on technical capacity to a fast-moving team.

This is a genuine opportunity for a confident, detail-driven garment technician to make fit and construction decisions that shape the range, with direct exposure to Design, Production and our company owned factories.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing proto, PP, shipment and e-comm samples and providing clear feedback to factories and suppliers
  • Participating in fit sessions and approving samples against the finalised spec
  • Checking construction, specs and grading against the Standards Manual
  • Identifying construction and quality issues and following up with factories and pattern makers to resolve them
  • Checking and approving care labels for accuracy and correct placement
  • Managing wear, wash and hang testing of new knit, denim and offshore qualities
  • Setting and upholding QA standards, and supporting global compliance across US and EU markets
  • Keeping BeProduct/PLM and sample approval tracking accurate and up to date
  • Supporting the wider Product Development team by sharing technical and approval workload
  • Helping build technical capability and share knowledge across the team

What we’d love from you:

  • Proven experience as a Garment Technician or in a similar technical role, with demonstrated fit and QA capability
  • Accurate measuring and strong attention to detail
  • Pattern making experience
  • Sound working knowledge of garment construction, fabric, trim and QA
  • Confidence participating in fit sessions and making fit and construction decisions
  • Knowledge of 2D pattern systems such as Style CAD (beneficial)
  • Experience with BeProduct, Sync or other PLM software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across teams and factories
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own critical path to keep approvals on time
  • Experience with US and/or EU compliance and market requirements (beneficial)
